The Newman Catholic Campus Ministry is a Roman Catholic ministry of the Diocese of Rochester located in a beautiful contemporary building on the edge of campus.  It has a large, contemporary worship space, a small chapel, offices, meeting spaces/classrooms and Newman House, a student residence is next door

NEWMAN MISSION STATEMENT

In recognition of the importance of spiritual growth in the development of the whole person, the mission of the Newman Catholic Community at SUNY Brockport is to:

Promote and encourage the spiritual growth of all members of the College through opportunities for prayer, growth and study.

  • Reach out to all members of the student community and support their growth in body, mind and spirit
  • Nurture a sense of community that respects and honors diversity
  • Encourage generous service to those in need
  • Be present and available to listen, console and challenge with love

   Worship

Sunday Masses at 10am all year-around

10am and 7:30pm each semester

Small Chapel with the Reserved Sacrament

a wonderful place for private prayer and adoration

A library

A quiet place for study or reflection

Soup Suppers:

First 3 days of exam week each semester

R.C.I.A

Newman Scholarship:

This scholarship is given in honor of Archie & Julia Freitas and Louis & Jane Butmore by their children Mr. Archie Freitas ‘52 and Dr. Joan Butmore Freitas ’51 to recognize and assist outstanding undergraduate Roman Catholic students at SUNY Brockport.
